MOONDOG NYC Music Relaunched...

MOONDOG Music is reborn. Originally launched as a licensing and branding company, the new direction sees MOONDOG Music becoming a full-service music house with offerings spanning, music publishing, music production, original composition, artist management and sound design, along with licensing and branding services. MOONDOG is New York-based collective comprised of five branches; along with Music, MOONDOG specializes in Creative, Film, Editorial and VFX.

MOONDOG has tapped powerhouse Randy Edelman, whose epic orchestral scores have been heard in films such as Ghostbusters II, Twins, The Last of the Mohicans, The Mask, My Cousin Vinny and While You Were Sleeping. In 2003, BMI bestowed Edelman with the Richard Kirk Award, a prestigious honor given to a composer who has made significant contributions to the craft. Having enjoyed a legendary career as the “master of movie music melody,” Edelman makes his official foray into advertising with MOONDOG.

MOONDOG also adds Andy Street, who has carved his niche in the industry creating music geared for children. TV programs featuring Street’s compositions, arrangements and music direction have aired in over 100 countries. Street composed all the music for the Emmy-winning animated series Madeline, along with other programs including Hurricanes, Double Dragon, Ultraforce, Strawberry Shortcake and Angelina Ballerina. His work outside the children’s genre includes composing and acting as a vocal coach on American Idol and writing for So You Think You Can Dance.

Femi Ojetunde, also known as Femdouble, is a Nigerian-born music producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist specializing in urban and hip hop. Ojetunde has collaborated with high-profile artists such as 2Pac, E-40, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, CeeLo Green and Jennifer Hudson, and his music has been heard in TV shows including The Shield, Driven, Behind The Music and NCIS Los Angeles. Additionally, Ojetunde has scored a series of documentaries executive produced by Quincy Jones III, including the Netflix film Beasts of No Nation directed by Cary Fukunaga.

Dance and rock composer Tony Coluccio has worn many musical hats during his 20-year career, from a respected producer, arranger, performer and engineer to teacher and songwriter. He has over 100 Billboardcharted songs to his name, among them are his dance remixes of hits by Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston. Along with working with artists such as Gloria Estefan, Patti Labelle, Bette Midler and Barry Manilow, Coluccio has composed for screens big and small, including the Sleeper Cell teaser for Showtime and the feature Glow Ropes starring Judy Reyes.

This perfectly curated ensemble now extends their world-class talents into the advertising arena with the expansion of MOONDOG Music. Working closely with both established veterans and up-and-comers, MOONDOG Music has now built a diverse global network, enabling them to tap into the local sounds of virtually any region and to masterfully deliver genrespecific authenticity for any project. Moondog Music will continue to search for and find new artists and writers to expand their catalogs and talent base.

In its previous form, MOONDOG Music has used its licensing muscle to soundtrack commercials for leading brands including Pepsi (Young Rising Sons), Victoria’s Secret (Liam Bailey, Banks, Holy Ghost!), and DSW (Betty Who).
